Highlights

A standard Droplet Pack setup uses 2-channel pumping system to flow independantly dispersed and continuous phases inside the microfluidic chip, enabling water in oil (W/O) or oil in water (O/W) droplets to be generated. The droplet size will be determined by the chip channel size and the flow rate ratio of both phases. Flow rates can be monitored and controlled thanks to our versatile flow rate sensors (MFS or BFS series).

WHY MICROFLUIDICS FOR MAKING DROPLETS?

Microfluidics brings reproducibility and control over droplet size that are not achievable by any other techniques. Continuous generation of droplets with constant junction size and flow rates delivers emulsions with monodispersity of less than 2%.

Moreover, microfluidics is an ideal technique for handling ultra small volumes and controlling finely droplet generation. Microfluidics give you flexibility to easily generate identical droplets with the same content or to create individual droplets with unique payloads.

Advanced droplet experiments such as generating two-reagent droplets, double-emulsions, polymer capsules, etc… are possible by adding additional pumping channels and specific chips to your Easy Droplet Generation Pack.
