Product Description
Human CD34+ Hematopoietic Progenitors
CORD BLOOD
Present within a heterogeneous cell population, hematopoietic stem cells, or HSCs, represent a very small proportion of mononuclear cells. HSCs are morphologically non-identifiable, however the purification of hematopoietic progenitors is possible using different membrane markers.
The Cluster of Differentiation 34 (CD34) is currenlty the most commonly used antigen for the study and characterization of hematopoietic progenitors. During hematopoietic differentiation, this CD34 marker ceases to be expressed by HSCs. In culture, the CD34+ cells from cord blood are able to self-renew and differentiate into mature cells of divers hematopoietic lineages, in particular via adapted combinations of cytokines.
Product description
Abcell-bio offers CD34+ cells isolated by immuno-magnetic selection from umbilical cord blood.
The ability of these cells to self-renew or differentiate into mature cells of different lineages is tested using cytokine combinations. Our CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors are derived from a single, healthy donor. Multiple quality controls are performed to certify performance, purity, viability and virologic compliance.
Quality control
The CD34+ cell purity is ≥ 95%. Once isolated, the cells are frozen in FBS-10% DMSO. Virologic tests (HIV1 / 2, HBV, HCV) and mycoplasma detection are performed. A certificate of analysis is provided for each batch of CD34+ cells ordered.
