Exoid TRPS System for EV and Nanoparticle Characterisation

Exoid TRPS System for EV and Nanoparticle Characterisation

Explore workflows, FAQs, demo options and flexible leasing programmes for Exoid TRPS platform with full technical support.

Accurate. Quantitative. Standardised TRPS for Every Lab.

The Exoid by Izon Science brings Tunable Resistive Pulse Sensing to a new level of precision. Researchers working with extracellular vesicles, LNPs, viral vectors, nanomedicine formulations and polymeric nanoparticles rely on TRPS for true size, concentration and zeta potential measurements that are not achievable with ensemble methods.

Atlantis Bioscience is the official distributor of Izon Science in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. We supports laboratories across Southeast Asia with access to the Exoid platform, scientific guidance and regional training to ensure high quality nanoparticle characterisation.

Why Exoid Matters for Translational Research

Reliable nanoparticle characterisation is essential for moving EVs, LNPs and viral vectors from exploratory work into translational development. The Exoid provides the precision, flexibility and workflow compatibility researchers need to generate reproducible data that supports formulation optimisation and preclinical decision making.

  • True single particle resolution across 40 nm to 11 µm
  • Accurate concentration measurements from 1E5 to 1E11 particles per mL
  • Compatible with standard buffers including PBS, HEPES, MES and KCl
  • Compact 300 x 300 mm footprint ideal for both research and QC labs
  • Delivers highly reproducible measurements, aligned with translational and regulatory expectations

Atlantis Bioscience works closely with R&D teams to integrate Exoid characterisation into their discovery, development and translational pipelines.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can the Exoid run three parameters simultaneously?
Yes. The Exoid can measure size, concentration and zeta potential using the same instrument. Only 35 µL of sample is required, and a full measurement can be completed in about 20 minutes including the calibration steps.

2. How is TRPS different from NTA or DLS?
Accuracy and high resolution. TRPS measures individual particles as they pass through a nanopore, providing accurate size, concentration and zeta potential based on the Coulter principle. Because each particle is analysed one by one, TRPS can clearly resolve multimodal samples, distinguishing distinct particle subpopulations within heterogeneous mixtures rather than reporting a single averaged value.

NTA and DLS rely on light scattering informed by Brownian motion to calculate particle behaviour, which provides bulk estimates rather than true single particle measurements.

3. What sample types and size range can the Exoid measure?
The Exoid can analyse extracellular vesicles, liposomes, LNPs, AAV, VLPs, nanoplastics and many other nanoparticle types within the range of 40 nm to 11 µm.

4. Can the Exoid be used for GMP scale-up workflows?
Yes. The Exoid plays an essential role in large scale EV production and quality control, providing precise and reproducible measurements of particle size, concentration and zeta potential. These capabilities are critical for ensuring QC consistency across batches and supporting the accurate measurement of therapeutic dosage during scale up.

Izon Science supports integrated large scale EV production workflows that pair the Exoid with GMP ready tools such as qEV SEC columns, qEV TFF for concentration and qEV ZENCO for large volume EV isolation. Together, these tools enable a smooth transition from research grade development to clinical grade manufacturing with greater confidence in batch comparability and product quality.

5. Do you provide training?
Yes. Every Exoid purchase or leasing arrangement includes comprehensive on-site training at your laboratory to ensure your team is confident and ready to generate high quality data.

Partner with Atlantis Bioscience

Atlantis Bioscience has hosted Exoid workshops with research teams at NUS and with pharmaceutical partners to demonstrate the power of TRPS. Scientists were consistently impressed by the system’s ability to measure zeta potential, analyse three parameters simultaneously, detect nanoparticles smaller than 40 nm and deliver rapid result turnaround.

A neuroscience researcher working with EVs shared:

“I was impressed that the Exoid was able to analyse my EV samples so quickly and return results that we have not been able to obtain using conventional flow cytometry. We have had difficulties detecting samples below 100 nm with flow cytometry, but the Exoid addressed this limitation easily and without any hassle.”

Another participant from NUS Pharmacy commented:

“Compared to DLS, I do not need to use a large amount of sample to characterise particle size, zeta potential and PDI.”

As a translational solutions provider, Atlantis Bioscience helps researchers move beyond instrumentation by offering nanoparticle workflow guidance, assay selection, EV staining optimisation and access to regional collaborators. We support both early discovery and pre clinical development stages.
